Vexus Fiber is a provider of fiber-based high-speed internet, video and voice services to residential and commercial customers in Texas. Pamlico initially formed the company under the brand Vast Broadband in 2014 by acquiring cable systems in South Dakota and subsequently acquired NTS Communications in 2019. The South Dakota systems were divested to GI Partners in 2021 and the remaining operations in Texas were rebranded Vexus Fiber. In 2022, Vexus Fiber merged with MetroNet to form the nation’s largest independently owned, 100 percent fiber optic network provider. The combined companies operate under their separate brands.
